Carb Question

Got myself an replacement set of carbs and noticed that they are missing a pipe that connects to the canister, well I say missing but it looks like it's never had the pipe. Do I need this pipe fitted?

It seems I have the California model of GS. So i'm guessing, I'll need to drill out the little blanks and connect the pipe from my older carbs?

Do not drill nothing ... the damn EPA BS can get tossed ... you fit the non CA carbs and drill nothing ... EPA BS can just get tossed.

Only if you are not going to be going through an EPA or SMOG inspection.Some states still don't care about that on MC's.If your inspection station is familiar with motorcycles they may turn you down for inspection renewal.I personally would loose the smog crap for weight savings.If you go this route remove all traces of the smog devices.That may help you get it thru an inspection without the smog crap.
