...well I guess it's still not a GS500 haha.  I found a GS750 in Wolforth for a nickel and a dime.  It's rough on the outside...never win a beauty contest...but she's gold on the inside.  It's a 1979 E model and it has a Fox shocks on the back, stainless lines, and an oil cooler kit...just the cap that the oil cooler lines fit to are like gold on the the gs resource.  And she has a kick starter...haaha

pics later this week

I won't believe you until I see pics of you holding today's paper in front of it.   :icon_razz:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

ok no paper...but still

A bit rusty but not too bad.

My badass oil cooler...filthy, but it's a cool filthy.

I've already kcikstarted her...that was great.  I just wish she'd stay running...fires up and then dies.  I'll be investigating it but am thus far stumped.

Fox shocks yo!  they don't leak and have progressive springs...upgrade later, probably, but cool for now.

Oh yeah and this is what happens when one of the straps holding the bike up break...fucker...

ohgood

you pulled that old girl home in your hatch, didn ya ? ;)

nope...bike caddy:

Worked best with my TL1000S...no other bike works the same with it...but the GS is the first bike to have ever just fallen over...and it happened in the middle of a busy intersection so it's not like I could stop haha.  I had to drag her a hundred feet or so before I could deal with it.

Probably.

I'm just curious about the location of the air filter.   :icon_mrgreen:

A Caswell chrome kit, half a ton of sandblasting sand, and a yard of python print vinyl and you'll have a new bike.

I have an SV all over the garage at the moment.  Good thing I have the GS to ride, or i'd be pulling my hair out.

mak, id suggest this as far as your carrier goes, perhaps either out of steel or maybe another strap, but fab braces which would attach near the top of the tree, as far as teh gs, how clean are the carbs?, if you dont know, lol id say that might be part of the problem., but ya, i love them old gissers as well still want that cx of yours. but im too far away for it to be economical  O0

You just got rid of a bike with the worlds worst ever electrical system and now you have bought a bike with the worlds second worst electrical system  :icon_mrgreen:

makenzie71

yeah but I don't have to pull the engine to work on it...and it came with a dyna III electronic ignition...

on the caddy you can't attach to the triples.  The suspension has to work for the bike to follow very well.  I just had a lot of time to research where to tie onto the TL...all the other bikes I had to figure out on the spot.
