Bike has a fresh motor (<6k miles), but the clutch rod and shifter rod oil seals need to be replaced (light leaks). Stator has also recently failed and does not start easily (if you locals want a test ride you have to be willing to help me push start her).

New steering head bearings
New lights
10mm wires
~progressive springs
~10w oil
Uni-Filter Pods
Full one-off left exit exhaust
GL1000 Forks (much larger)
GL500 brakes (dual, larger calipers)
New rider and pillion pegs
New choke cable
33" bars (also comes with stock bars)
140mph CB750 Speedometer (needs a mind-70's speedo drive to read dead on)

There's some other odd things but I can't remember everything right here, right now.

Weight has been reduced to a very nice 440lbs wet and ready to roll.  The gearing on this machine and it's weight make it an ideal beginner's bike, and the suspension, powerband, and handling make her a great bike for the experienced rider as well.

The bike also comes with a GL500 for parts.  This bike is the intended donor for a full transistorized ignition system which, despite it's primitive nature compared the CX500's digital system, is much less complex and far more reliable.  This bike had a new stator installed about 6 months ago and it was wrecked and left sitting after.  The motor was in good shape when parked but is now locked up...it will need to be filled with diesel and either automatic transmission fluid or marvel mystery oil and left to sit for a week or so to safely free the rings and crank.

The GL also has a brand new rear tire.

If swapping to a different ignition system is not for you then the front seat, pulser assembly, idiot cluster, rear shock and headers alone will sell on eBay for more than what a direct replacement CX500 stator costs.

The bike also comes with another CX500 motor with approximately 15,000 miles on it.  When torn down it had 120lbs of cold compression on both cylinders.  Until our recent move the engine was stored in a plastic sweater box, sealed from the elements.

There is also a box full of miscellaneous odds and ends from other CX and GL bikes including a wiring harness, another radiator, vale covers, CDI module, powdercoated swingarm, a good rear end, and a set of standard comstar wheels (including an 18" rear wheel that will get better fuel mileage at the expense of tamer tires...not too many sporty tires available for 18" wheels).

In the box of of spare parts also lay the bars to make the bike look like this again:

Currently the bike's biggest issue is the dying stator.  Only other mechanical issues are leaky oil seals for the shifter and clutch rods (attract dirt, no threat to the engine) and the rear shocks are going bad (30 year old stock parts).

The bike does not come with the hard boxes or 310mm brake kit pictured.  These items can be included for an additional $350, and they are both VERY worth that price.

Clear title, in hand for the CX500, and valid tags until next march.

Someone who takes everything as it sits can get it all for $1250.  Price is firm but I can entertain some trading + cash.  Just bought a house and got married...we need a little extra cash.  I'm willing to do the work to install a new stator or do the ignition swap but the price goes up.
