I got around to installing progressive springs in my bike this morning and much to my surprise just like sikdmax, I already have some in with metal 3/4" spacers in there.  The only thing I did notice off the bat is that the fork oil was surprisingly low and it was completely gray.  There was maybe again maybe half what there should have been in the left fork, and 3/4 of what there should have been in the right.  I hope the seals aren't blown, so time to keep an eye out on them.  I will be trying it with bel-ray 10w fork oil this time all fresh and not black.  It was a kind of thin green fluid this time.  The old stuff was like badly burned and used motor oil so I'm not sure if he even put the right stuff in there.  Oh well..

In the time it takes you to locate a syringe, you could do it the non-lazy way about 3 times:
1. remove the fork tubes
2. invert them
3. reinstall

its easy removing the fork tubes. taking them apart to do the seals is another story.

Or I went into my toolbox removed a 100CC syringe, then went down a few drawers and got a 3 ft section of 1/4" ID tube and sucked them out?   :dunno_white:

Thanks for your um... input tho?

I did it the lazy way with a speedbleeder and a long tube for brakes and worked like a champ.  Next is gonna be the brake fluid and ss brake lines and the bike is completely where I want it outside of jim knopf wild customizations.
