Getting ready to button things up as soon as I get my shims in and carbs back from buddah  :thumb:

Now that Im not using the stock airbox and using the K&N Lunchbox, what should be done with the vent hose that went from the access cover (held on with 4 bolts) on top of the valve cover, to the stock airbox?  Just run a new hose down to bottom of bike to vent along with carb/gas tank vent hoses or?

Run the vent down somewhere you don't mine a little oil going and install an inline filter on the end to keep the bugs out.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

I used the little filter that is noted on the wiki.It shouldn't be left open.Starting the engine cold sucks some air in which could draw dust and dirt into the engine.

Did you find that thing locally or have to order it online?

Damn $20 + shipping!  Haha Imma look around at the local auto parts stores and see if I can find something similar first.  Thanks for the link though!

Got mine at Amazon but it was only $16 shipped.I got it because it matched my lunch box and I can clean and oil them with the same products, at the same time.

I found this on Advance Auto Parts' website.

I got one of those for my car and it allows oil to blow thru it.Drove around 13 miles the day I installed it.Get home and smelled burnt oil.Opened the hood and oil was every where.I replaced it with a Mr.Gasket brand that had a baffle built into it.The K&N doesn't have a baffle, the element pores are small enough to allow air to flow, but oil stays in,water stays out.
