I bought a 94 with 17000 miles on it. It was in descent shape but didn't run so I got it for $400. steal of a deal. The wiring was all mickey-moused but I got it all up and running. I can't ride it much because I am in the Marines and am not allowed to ride without taking a safty course which is hell to get into. I have taken it out a few times though and have put roughly 100 miles on it. When I do ride it, it starts right up and runs great but sometimes it just doesn't get the fuel. At least that is what it feels like. When I stop on a hill, it will idle fine but then as soon as I start to go, it starts to sputter and usually dies. I have tried running on PRIme and it does the same thing. This is simillar to the other postings about fuel starvation but mine is at low speed not high speed. It does fine at higher speed(55-60MPH). I have the stock airfilter and box. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, it has yoshi exhaust and has been re-jetted for it. The gas tank has been flushed and has fresh gas in it. Please help before it dies on me trying to merge into traffic. Thanks

Hmmm... first thing I'd check is the float heights; are they set correctly? Here is an easy way to check:

I'll check that and let you know how it goes. Thankyou

Well, I started doing the float hight check and I found LOTS of water and crap in the floats. When I opened up the tank, it looked like a lava lamp with all of the water separated out from the gas. Don't know how it got there because I just drained and flushed the tank and put fresh gas in it. Prob. the bike gremlins. :icon_twisted: So I went out and got a Kreeme kit for $40 and an in-line filter. I will do the kit in the near futur and let you all know how it goes. Any tips/lessons learned on using the Kreeme kit or anything else that I should do while I have it all apart??
