Hello I need some advice. Just bought a 2006 gs500f 3000 miles on it  A shop just did a 4000 mile ck.  After riding about 2.5 miles feels like its running out of gas slows down then stalls.  Wait 10 min. it will restart ride again 2 miles stalls again.  I hear a hissing noise and smell fuel sometimes Question ??  could the shop have put fuel line or vacumn line on wrong.  Please help with sugg.  thanks hical

try it set on prime, see if the problem repeats, i would suggest opening ( lightly) teh gas cap, but that would be somewhat dangerous while testing in motion. however if you can get this to happen again while stationary, try it wih the cap open

The fuel tank  is vented thru the fuel cap. Here's how to fix that.http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=41061.0

It sounds like the vacuum line is connected wrong.I would take it back to the shop and have them fix it.They probably messed something up when they removed/installed the fuel tank.

Haynes makes a manual for 89 to 06.They're currently the only ones that I know of offering a shop manual to 06.
