Hi,

I'm trying to remove my gs engine, and al bolts and nuts are removed, except one, the front engine bolt. All of the bolts went off with easy, except this one, I'm putting as much pressure as possible, but the bolt can't handle the pressure, so it's getting rounder. Have you got an easy trick how to remove the engine, or is it just welded to the frame (so it can't be removed).

p.s: sorry for the poor english, but I'm from Holland.

Your English is fine, dude. I can't complain - your English is far better than my Dutch :)
Make sure you're using good quality tools. If you're trying to get it apart with inexpensive end wrenches, or worse, an adjustable wrench, you might be making it harder for yourself than necessary. Good sockets & a long enough ratchet handle & extension are important. With the right tools you should be able to put plenty of torque on the bolt & nut to either force them apart or break the bolt. Either way, it comes apart, right?
If you've rounded the hex off so much that no tool will be able to properly fit it, you may have to have someone weld another nut on top of what's left so you can get a tool on it.
Good luck!

If there's still some shape left to the nut- You can try Hammering a smaller socket on to it.....then try taking it off....(use a piece of pipe over the end of your breaker-bar/socket drive to give you more leverage-cheater bar)

Otherwise buy a nut splitter and cut what's left of the nut in half...

Good luck

worse case, Cut the Head of that long bolt off and replace it with a new one. i had to do that too.

guys, thanks for the info! have tried everyting you advised, but the bolt ignored all atempts and stayed where it was. Also tried heating the thing, this was advised by a motor repair shop, but this was also useless. At this time I was boiling with anger :x so I took a iron slicer, (I don't know the english word of the machine, so try to guess what it is), and cut the bolt, and the two busses supporting it.

Felt pretty good when the engine was out of the frame :) !

O.K., so spacers may potentially mean busses in Dutch. Good to know! :)

I new a couple of spacers that I'd like to throw under a bus. Does that count?
