Carbs Just Rebuilt plus upgrades, Engine bogging in low rpm, Exhaust Popping

AHHH! Still bogging under 6500 rpm's, changed spark plugs, used a little seafoam, check hoses again for leak or crimps, float height, and the air mix screw is 2.5, I tryed from 1.5 to 3.5 turns, not much difference.  I was reaserching and read about pluging up one hole in each carb where the slide is, i'm running the stock slides with 3 #3 washers. Has this helped anyone?

I found float needle missing in tang's carb. he swore up and down it was perfect and it still bogged. I dunno, you got some stuff missing ?? All I can say, send me.

Not to doubt your wisdom at all Buddha, but I really think I have it right, check this out maybe "Bogging" is a strong phrase, that has been fixed, after all my troubleshooting - float adjustment, hose check, petcock check, new spark plugs, and some seafoam its running really good. I can throttle through all the gears very smooth when fully open, slower is a little rougher, there seems to be a dead spot between 5500 and 6500 rpm, kinda feeling like a sputter, but lighter, I can throttle out of it or shift up 1 gear and 4500,5000 is smooth. If it shifts in the 5500 6500 range same thing, but throttle through those is smooth. I have 3 #3 washers on should I run 2 ?? or leave it alone, what could be causing the flat spot? Its almost perfect and boy this is a nice, quick, great handling bike after all these upgrades i've done to it, just am anxious to get it right. Thanks for your help Buddha ,along with everyone else. We run 1 #4 washer ... if that helps.

if your plugs are black means you're running rich, try reducing your air/fuel mixture. Mine is 2.5. Try reducing your jets. When I got my full yoshi system people on here swore up and down I needed 150 mains and 3.5 turn (I'm looking at you Buddha! )

Turns out I need 142.5 mains and 2.5 turns, and zero washers.

Also, didn't read the full thread, but you made sure your float height is correct right?

FIXED!!! Well I want to say thanks to all of your imput it really helped me. My slide on the left carb was getting snagged coming up and I guess that explains the flat spot, the little platic tab with the o-ring was not quite in right. It runs PERFECT now, i got the #3 washer idea from the wiki. All the gears are smooth and it is more powerful than I expected. So much fun to ride this bike, i'm at my hometown in Tallahassee and the roads are amazing, not like South Florida where I live now. Once again thanks for the help and support guys! I'll post lots of pics soon!

I agree. 150's were way to rich for me also.(Buddha  ) I ended up going with dgyver's set up 40/142.5/1 washer and 2.5 turns.
