The Police Camera Action programme revealed the most dangerous roads in Britain last night.  This page details the worst road in each region: http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=29954.  I'm relieved I don't ride anywhere near any of them.

Top of the list is the A537 where most (if not all) serious incidents and fatalities involved motorbikes.  "The Road Safety Foundation attributes this high number of accidents to road-user behaviour, indeed when motorcycle related collisions are removed from the results the road becomes one of the safest in the country"

There's similar information on this page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/reports/archive/features/dangerous_roads.shtml, where it details some terrible stats about Germans and trees...  The program reckoned Swedish roads were the safest.  Let's all move to Sweden!
