Squid (?) report

On my way back to the apartment, I saw two bikers.  The first one was on a averaged sized Yamaha new cruiser.  The guy was wear helmet (half helmet) alright, plus sunglass, shorts, and some Nike sneaker.  Yeah, that is all he is wearing.  No shirt and pants.  We stoped at the same light, I was going to give him a wave, but he was on the cell phone (??!!).  So I just ignored him, and pull away on the green.

about half a block down, there is a car stopped in the middle of the road on the left lane in the 2 lane street (Gayley Ave.).  And there is a bike down in front of the car.  I stopped to see if I can help, and the earlier squid on the cruiser passed me, still have the phone in his hand.  The guy who fell was alright, some broken skin here and there, and probably landed on his right shoulder while falling.  If he was wearing riding jacket instead just t-shirt, he would probably be in a lot better shape.  Ambulence came and brought the rider to emergency room.  He has a brand new Honda 600RR, still have no plate.

Not sure what happened.  It seem like the car, drove by a teenager driver, was trying to get to the parking space on the side of the street, and did not see the bike riding out from the same space she was going to.  Or she was going straight and didn't see the bike coming out from the side of the street.  She was sobbing and kept apologyzing.  Good thing it probably happened at low speed, and hopefully both driver and rider learn something.

oops, the car stopped at the right hand lane instead of the left hand lane.  I need to get my left and right straight.

I see the same jokers every day.  First I've heard of using a cell phone though.  He must not be using the clutch?!

I saw a guy on an FZ1 wearing a tank top and shorts.  He was obviously afraid to lean the bike around corners and then took of full throttle on the straights.  I also saw a guy one day on a cruiser that actually budded in front of me at a light in the left hand turn lane.  He then proceeded to light up his cigarette in the middle of the intersection and held up traffic because he missed the light change and then stalled the bike?!  What an idiot :guns:

I saw a guy the other day riding down the street towards the I5 Entrance ramp smoking a cigarette via left hand.  He was sporting the rugged cafe racer look, complete with brain bucket, leather vest (no sleeves), and studded leather bracelets.

I just laughed.
