That's cool.Looks like they added an oil cooling system and did some funky stuff to the head.

That is the GSXR head swap job. The GSXR oil passages are external.
In fact Chuck Graves made a GSXR head oiling kit. My friend has copied a part of that and made up his own for another part. But anyway, a GS head has 1 oil passage, a GSXR head has 2.
Cool.

Early 90's GSXR 4-valve head. Outer 2 cylinders were cut off. Aluminum plates added as new sides for the head and for oil line connections. Secondary oil pump and oil cooler were added. Cams were cut and modified. Bob Broussard sent me his info on what he had done with that motor.
Common sense in not very common.

Sweet! So my head will be completed and ready in a couple weeks.J/K

The engine I have, that's locked up, will need an over bore and a new head.Maybe I can do something like that.

how did he make that ramair work without pressurizing the carbs? I wanted to do something like that but not have the induction in front of the bike but on the side with half the filter sticking out the side fairings

He presurized the air box with the carbs inside. This is the bike I was talking about in the other thread.

how do you pressurize the box? If im not doing a ram air but just relocating the fliter but still keeping it a cold air intake will I need to pressurize the carbs?

So after doing some research on intake setups our bike have a warm-air intake  not a cold air intake. what I wanna buid is a true cold air intake. takes cooler air into the engine and lees heat from the motor

For a cold air system you don't need to pressurize the carbs.Only ram air needs the pressure which is nearly useless at highway speeds or under.I think that filters inside an air box with cold air ducts would work the best.I'm not a cold air or ram air specialist.
