Spring in carb fell out where does it go. Pic

I was cleaning my carbs out today.  The first one went fine but the second one a spring fell out  i believe it came from the pilot jet.   I took apart the first carb again to see if i could see where it came from  , if it is suppose to be on the pilot jet the first on didn't have one.  I put spring on the jet because that  is the only hole it would fit in.     Also the upper  T fitting  above the gas line  is there suppose to be a hose attach to it  because mine doesn't have one.

It absolutely does not go there.
It may be the synch adjustment spring. Show me a good pic of the front of the carb assy, between the 2 carbs.
Second choice is that it goes under the air mix screw. Why is the air mix screw so far pulled out on yours.

yup, doesn't go there, probably the synch spring. It's too short and fat to be an idle mixture screw spring, and he hasn't even gotten at those springs yet, they're still behind plugs

I dunno about the brass plugs. I see the screws sticking out a good bit right there between the floats.

I several of those... lost in my shop.

Possibly a mix screw spring.  That's the only other place that has a small spring like that.
