I woke up at 0330 feeling THE NEED to run the GS to work.   So I hit the road at 0410, 8 miles of back roads then 27 miles of 80 mph freeway riding.   It was so wild being the only vehicle Eastbound all the way in.   Heck of a nice wide open road too.   East Carolina flat and straight.   Saw 0 deer which is a good omen.   Was thankful for my jacket, it was cool at 80 mph under the full moon.  Get to the van stop, first person there.  On the way home I am driving the van and looking back towards home and it is just black cloud.   Worry worry about sketchy bald back tire.  Get back to the bike and it has leaned way over digging into the hot asphalt...note to self.   Rain starts, it is raining steady.   Going slowly, cars taking pity on me  (thank you).   Bottom falls out so I swing by my buds to take shelter for a few....he's not home!   Frog drowning downpour.   Take off heading back on the old 55mph highway.   Back tire feels surprisingly solid.   Break into the sunshine in a mile and am nearly dry by the time I pull in my drive.  Wow.

Rejetted with new Buddha jets this evening....unreal throttle response now.  Unreal bike.  it just needs a firmer front end.
Attack but have a back up plan

I find the horn to work well for deer that are having a hard time making up their mind.   :thumb:  Glad the commute went well as it could!
