Fully compress your suspension and let me know how that works out for you.....

THe tire is most likely going to hit that on a hard bump and is really going to suck when you are on it. Go bounce it up and down hard and see if it hits it, I am pretty sure it will.

i don't drive with it fully compressed and it dont' bump when i bounce on it

i'll test driving with it tomorrow

You could use your thigh and put a slight roll into it, you may end up needing a bit of extra material on either side to mount it, still looks great....

Try it out over a few speed bumps - I think you're going to be hitting the tire on that tray, too.  I'm always happy to be proven wrong on things like that, though.  :)

Tang

will try and at diff speeds to see if it bumps

tomrrow lol its late now lol and i'm still tryin to put up all these wires

tryin to find home for them lol

oh will chaing my rear suspension help make it not bump?

i bent it just a little bit don't know if it'll do any good heres pics btw

you have more then enough clearance. The only way your tire will hit is if it fell off a 10 story building. You guys that are speculating are forgetting that the rear end is on somewhat on a reverse cantilever so the motion near the pivot is next to nothing

Crucival did that with aluminum diamond plate and his wheel didn't hit with his big ass on there.  He had stock suspension too.

If it will cause a problem, it will do so at the worst possible time. Question should be, are you willing and or ready to experience a problem occurring from the tire hitting that at the worst possible time?

hmm

i guess i dunno

stop asking me all these hard questions lol

i also have a question my motorcycle dies when i leave the petcock on "ON"

but when i switch it to "PRIME" it'll run but at times its sketchy like its not getting fuel or somethin.

First, fill up your tank, you're probably near empty.

Second, I love the look of it how you have it, but I'm worried about it just like everyone else.  If it were to hit badly, it will happen at a bad time.  Is there a way to put it to the top of that lower frame rail.  That would move it up an inch or so.  I'm doing a similar thing, but I'm mounting it on the top of the upper frame rail, so there will be tons of room.  I like the look of yours better though, but I'm just going on the safe side.

gas is fulll :-D but thanks gas is full oil is full i even warmed it up 10 min before checkin up on the oil

i guess i could put it on top of the lower rail but that'd be major cutting on the sheet and i don't have the scissors to do it

i used a rotor disk and it ate like 15 littles ones up just for me to cut that one out X_X

maybe i'll get another sheet and start off fresh this is just a prototype i suppose lol maybe next time i'll roll up a tad

but then again i just want a flat surface blah w/e i'll think of somethin lol back to the drawing board lol

Your either using to small of a disc or your discs are junk, probably moist or something? I do a lot of cutting with 3M 3" Abrasive Dics on a Die Grinder and don't go through discs like that,to cut that part I might use 2, maybe 3 if I hammer the discs a bit.

I suggest getting a cheap angle grinder.  1 disk will do the whole thing.

The rear tire may hit and lock up on a big bump.
The fuel problem sounds like a classic case of a bad vacuum petcock. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=19363.0 or http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=36958.0

i believe i figured out why i was boggin on prime cuz my air filter wasn't on all the way X_X

but i haven't tried running it on "ON"

i will when i tighten up my throttle control which will probably be tomorrow afternoon since is dark and ppl in my neighborhood ppl who don't like to be disturbed at night

anyways i came up with a new plan for the mud guard thing

heres a 10 sec sketch lol (view is from lookin at the back)

tell me what u think

is it worth trying?

is it not?

thanks for all the supportive feedback  :thumb: keep them comming

Well great minds must think a like bcause I was going to post up the exact same idea as you just presented. You could make multiple smaller degree bends to give it a octagonal look kinda rounded where the tire will travel near?

so somethin like this

i suppose? i like the first drawing better cuz the angles are easiar to bend lol
