okay, first, let me say that i'll post pics later. should be soon. waiting for the camera to charge so i can take some.  :thumb: anyways.  some of you may remember i used to drive a '98 chevy malibu. been having problems with it. lately i've felt like i was spending as much on repairs/maint as i was on the payment. so i went shopping. we ended up with a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE. i'm in love. the ride is so much smoother/quieter. it's a safer car for my family. it will be more reliable as it only had 7 miles on it when we took it for the test drive. it's gonna cost me a bit more per month as far as payment goes but i feel i'm paying for a little peace of mind. i've got a 7 year/ 75,000 mile warranty. (standard was 3yr/36,000). i purchased the extra bit to help coerce the bank into giving me the loan. i also purchased the gap coverage direct from toyota. i know some of you may say i wasted money but like i said, peace of mind and convincing the bank to give me the loan. my credit is ok but not perfect. and i wanted to do this with zero down and i still owed 5600 on the malibu. they gave me 2200 trade in on it and rolled the other 3400 on top of my car. i'm stoked. i love the thing. my dad swears that toyota makes the best, most reliable vehicles on the planet. anyhow, i'll post pics later.  :icon_mrgreen:

congrats, I have been looking hard at the new 09 corolla, basically set on getting an S with the 5 speed manual.  sort of hard to find right now.   The Toyota is one of the very few cars on the road which is actually worth the purchase price.   One other being Lexus....which is a toyota too lol!   Congrats, you are sure to keep it a VERY long time.
Attack but have a back up plan

i would have gotten the manual but the wife can't drive one. and i didn't think a brand spanking new car would be a wise idea for teaching her in.

thats what gravel parking lots are for  :thumb:, meh the mileage difference is negligible nowadays anyway. and as long as your family doesnt get any bigger. that car will serve you well. for quite a while to go :thumb:

yeah, i'm really loving it man. it's my first new car. i really enjoy driving it too. has a nice solid feel to it. of course, everything on it's new so i'm guessing that's how it should feel.  i really wanted an "S" model but i saved a grand on base price by getting the LE instead. only real difference between the 2 cars is that the "s" had a body kit, fog lamps and dark interior.  i still got a 6 disc CD changer, heated power mirrors, keyless, and 6 airbags.  :icon_mrgreen:
