SIKDMAX suggested I wander over here from BARF since I love my GS500 so much.. Here I am..  (SIK, you have mail, look in your postbox when you get back from MotoGP!!)

Thank you to everyone who has shared their knowledge and left it up on the boards to be searched.  I've pulled some great resources lately.  It's been trial by fire learning to work on bikes and thus far my 89 GS500 has been an excellent teacher and very forgiving.  I got this bike for free after it sat in someone's garage for 5 years.  After 2 sets of spark plugs, 3 oil changes, and having to clean the carbs twice it's a wicked fun bike.    I have to do a fork job this weekend.. 

I'm going to look at another GS500 on Sunday..  I need a corner demon for track days..     

Looking forward to more days of fun and mods to my bikes..  Will post pictures at some point.

whatcha want pics of?    which time i took which thing apart on said bike? 

no salinas for me..    i'm on crutches for another week..  and i was told that if my ass gets tired between here and salinas no one is coming to get me..     is along wasy from me casa to salinas!!!  maybe later in the year when there is less chance of my knee getting tired/sore..
