forks?

Would anyone know if a front end (triple clamp, forks, etc) off  a 2005 GS500 would fit on a 1990 GS500? I'm doing a mighty rebuild and found a set for a decent price in my area.

Everything should directly swap over. The forks have changed, but only the manufacturer of them and not the overall dimensions, if my memory serves me correctly.

Manufacturer ? The old ones were kayaba weren't they ?, so who makes the newer ones ?
