trouble aligning rear wheel

Hey guys.. I'm having trouble tightening the chain while keeping the axle nut equal-distant from the end of the swing arm.. Is there a strategy to this process?

The end plate adjuster nuts need to be snug ... pretty snug. After you tighten the axle down, you need to tighten them down as well.
