I think my new cheapo signals are sorta cool...

They ended up being much smaller than I thought they were going to be, but I must say I think I like the look.  They are also very bright for such a small package--even on a sunny morning like we had today!  Just ask my friend Bob--who watched them blink for miles at a time today.

Ignore the time stamps.  Pics were taken last night.

...and for good measure, a shot of both horses in the stable.  Bob's nice enough to share his garage! :thumb:

PS--I'm 31 and still irresponsible. I played hooky from work to ride my bike. :icon_mrgreen:

Hey, not bad!  Are they these?

I didn't realize they were that small either.  I guess it makes the rear tire look bigger though

Do they blink at the correct speed?  Did you use a flasher relay?

theUBS

...I'd take a messy garage over NO garage. ...and you're welcome!

mandres, they are the same and no relay was needed. They blink at the correct speed and are plenty bright.

They are probably the same--it's the same Ebay store too.  It's connected to this site:

Here's a link to the auction I bought mine at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-GS-400-450-500-550-650-750-850-1000-1100-SIGNALS_W0QQitemZ320271401396QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320271401396

It's ended obviously, but you can still see the signals.  Mine just came as a set of four.  They blink at the correct speed and didn't require any additions.  If you order them, just be sure not to over tighten them. Let that handy little washer do it's thing.  I did get one report from somebody that they managed to strip the bolt loose from the plastic it's mounted in.  Also, the lense has an opening on one side.  I'm guessing that's supposed to be on the underside once mounted.  I'd hate for someone ELSE to have to reopen the headlight assembly to swap the newly installed signals from side to side.  :icon_mrgreen:

Here's a good comparison.  I stole the picture from w00derson.

Nice looking signals. I'm on the lookout for new turn signals ever since one of mine (a cheap aftermarket one) fell apart in my hands as I took it apart to replace the bulb...

I think I paid $26.85 for all 4 including shipping.  I can't really vouch for their quality and durability just yet.  :dunno_white:  BUT, at least they don't look so clunky.

I think I mentioned this before.  I had those and they tend to have problems working after it rains.  They seemed to work again after a couple of days, so not that big of a deal, but try to keep them dry.

Did you install them upside down like I think I originally did?  There's a small opening in the lense for drainage.  It would serve much the opposite purpose if they were installed with the opening on top.  Just a thought...  but I guess most people aren't  :cookoo: like me! :icon_mrgreen:

Well, at least I know what to expect.  Bulbs pretty cheap?  Any suggestions for a higher quality alternative?

I may have done that.  To be honest, I did not inspect them all that closely when installing them.

Neither did I.  That's why I didn't notice until I was tightening the last bolts down on the windscreen...   Oh well, I know my way around the headlight assembly pretty well now!  :thumb:

Well, I'll wait and see if I have any problems.  Probably won't do anything unless I do.  Thanks for the suggestions though!  :thumb:
