I just sold my '99 GS yesterday.  Posted it up on craiglist in the morning and by that night it was paid for.  I offered to ride it back to the guy's house for him, so I could get my last ride in.

She started without a hitch, rode baby smooth, with clutchless shifts, and I parked her at her new home and said farewell.  The new owner is 21 and moving up from a scooter, so hopefully its the beginning of a lifetime of riding for him.  I put 4,000 care-free miles on it in 7 months, and I may have countless bikes to follow, but I wont' forget this one.

(Sold it for $2500 with 25,000 miles on it, in only 12 hours!)  The demand for beginner bikes in SoCal right now is off the charts.

Thanks guys for your help, this place is handy.  Hopefully the new owner will check in, I told him about the site.

Here are pics from the sale ad...

Aww, she looks great!  :thumb:

Sorry you had to let her go.

But is there another bike waiting to take her spot?  :icon_mrgreen:

New bike is a 98 Honda Superhawk (vtr1000f).  Also high miles in excellent condition.  No replacement for displacement!

+1

Its sad to see her go, I thought about selling my bike but I dont know what I was thinking.. Its my first bike and I put around 5000 miles on it in about 2 months.. I dont think I'll ever sell it even though I only paid $2500 for a 2006 with 6300 miles. I'll just mod the s$*t out of it and use it for long long trips -- I dont think I'll ever find a better deal on a bike
Seemed like a good idea at the time

Holy Clean Batman!  I've never been a big fan of yellow, but I've decided I DO like it on the GSE.  Without all the plastic, it ends up being just enough color to make it pop.  No doubt the pictures helped to make for a quick sale.   :thumb:  Enjoy your Honda.  My buddy likes his!
