CRF250 petcock help

I read this thread on converting to the CRF250 petcock - http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=36958.0.  I was wondering if someone could provide some kind of walkthrough on it.

Specifically, does the new petcock have to be welded on and how do you remove the old one?

I'm in lakeland actually.  I haven't picked a new petcock up yet, so it will probably take a while to be prepared to do it.  Thanks for the offer though, maybe once I get it, I'll get back to you and see if you're still in town.

It's a bolt on deal.Just file down the tab on the back of the CRF petcock.
