So my bike has been running ok since the wiring trouble i had recently. Now i believe its running too rich. The float heights are above the bowl gaskets and i dont know enough to know which way to move the little tab the float needle are on to make the right correction.  If anyone has pictures of the actual process it would be extremely helpful.

To The Buddha: I remember you said that you would be back in Charlotte this weekend and wondered if you might be able to show me and i would gladly pay for your expertise!

By the way, What has already been done to the 91 gs:

New oil and filter
New air filter
New headlight bulb
New cllutch cable
New in-line fuel filter
New fuel hoses
New gas cap (disassembled old for lock core)
New key cut with dremmel tool
New brake fluid
Six day process for por15 tank liner curing
New fork seals and oil ( they are leaking, maybe put them in upside down)
Rebuilt/Cleaned frame petcock
Rebuilt/Cleaned carbs
New plugs , switched to ngk dpr7ea9 , Ive gone through 20 trying to get this rich mix correct
New hardware almost every where
Ignition advancer (previous owner)
Katana adjustable rear shock
Aluminum fork spacers
New mini mirrors
New signals front and rear
New piston/seal kit for calipers
Stainless steel rear brake line
New Paint on frame, tank, buell flyscreen, fairings, shock, rims, forks, calipers, master cylinders, controls

The wiki shows the directions from the Suzuki manual; the diagram is quite good:

Stainless steel rear brake line

Just wondering... why the rear line only? If only one line is going to be stainless, most people opt for the front only. Some people claim it's overkill on the rear because the rear brake is prone to lock-up. Personally, I have stainless front and rear and haven't had any problems yet.

Yea bring the carbs over ... I am not sure if I can get the carbs off if you brought the bike ... anyway, you can get the carbs out right.
I'll PM you tommorow time and directions.
Cool.

Buddha: Awsome, the bike runs ok, needs to be better, could make it around charlotte but not sure. Will take carbs off and bring over, cool! I'll look for ya.

BeRto: Sorry, SS is on the front (previous owner) my typo, my bad. I want to upgrade the rear, just no money right now and the brake grabs just fine.

You want SS rear line. Bring $20 over, I'll get you something that will work.

I finally got her just about even on both sides. I tried to put the toilet analogy in my head and work on the carbs right-side up. I held the carbs up while i pressed the float assy. into full contact. Then I eye balled where the line on the float would be parallel to the bowl seam. Next, I watched where the float needle actually contacted its seat and pressed the tangs to line everything up as should be.
Thanks for all your help, going on a test ride with new plugs. report back later and try and work on some pics if all goes well.

Buddha: Im still interested in that ss rear line.

Yea, just ride it. Open it in winter if needed. For now, ride.
Cool.
