I want to switch my front or back sprocket which ever is cheaper, so that i will have more low in torque. Do i go up for front and down for the back or is it the opposite????? Thank you.

souljeroflight

go down in the front and up in the rear.  You can go 15 or 14 t front 41 45 or 49 t back the more you go the more extreme it will be.  I just ordered a 15t front for 25$ and some change and dont have to buy a new chain.... the more you go though the more likely you gotta get a new chain. i bought mine because i dont really even ride over 80MPH and ride two up alot!!!!!

The big thing is that it's much easier to change the front than the back. If you do it I suggest doing the 14t. You get a pretty good change in attitude, and you can still run the interstate if you have to.

if you just want better acceleration and you're not too crazy about wheelies you should go with 15T front and stock rear. If you want to do wheelies and you do not ride much on the interstate much you can drop to 14T front but you'll more likely have to change the chain also = more money.
I currently have 15T and love it! I also have 14T "in stock" but never tried it

I'm running a stock length chain with plenty of room for adjustment, don't do wheelies, and run the interstate half of the time. I do want to pic up a 15t just to see the difference.

I just put the 15T in my bike (see sig for other mods), and the bike definitely feels peppier.  It doesn't power wheelie, but I hear that takes a 14 or 13T.

The bike has a lot more zip, even on the e-way as I tried for the first time today, and actually  accelerates pretty decently in 6th at 60-70 mph!   :thumb:  RPM's are only a few (maybe 500) higher in any given gear.

I have not noticed any downsides yet.   O0
I love it when a plan comes together.

Cheapest an most effective 15t or 14t front. When you get more into it you've got alot of options..for now thats the most bang for the buck.
I'm running a 17t front and a 44t rear for a final ratio of 2.59.Doe's what I want it to.
That's the beauty of the GS,you can custom make it to suit you!

Well to be honest its really cause i want to make it easier to do wheelies haha. I usually practice with a close to empty gas tank and that makes it easier, but i want it to come up with out some much as to having to clutch it up. But im sure even going lower in the front and higher in the back ill still have to clutch it up but im not exactly sure. overall i want my gs for a stunt bike now.

I have a 13t up fronty and stock in rear and clutching her up is easy even at more speed.

if you wanna kill  her that way, fine - that's your bike :) just kidding.
just make sure that you move the thing that sucks oil (don't know the proper name) more to the back of the engine.
so when you wheelie your engine actually gets some juice and won't blow on you.
there's guy on youtube that has done that. just ask him
good luck

Has anyone found a smaller rear sprocket than the stock 39? I haven't.

If you want to raise the gearing just go up to a 17 or 18 on the front, its cheaper and easier than changing the back. I like my 17, qwertydude on here has happily gone 18.

I already have a 17t coming in. I didnt want to use the 18t because of the fittment issues I've heard about.
