What type of Glue for side plate?

The round, aluminum plate on the right side came off while I was washing it. It is scraped and had probably came off when previous owner dropped it. I'm guessing the glue he used was not correct type and soapy water dissolved it. What should I put it back on with?

do you mean the plate that just says suzuki? if so use automotive goop adhesive it good stuff and wont ever come off again...

I assume you're talking about the thin aluminum suzuki plate in the middle of the signal generator cover. I would try Perfect Glue 1, made by Liquid Nails. It should be available at Home Despot. Put a beadaround the cover, in far enough that the squeeze-out doesn't show. Hold it in place with some tape overnight, and it should be good to go.

Thanks, yes it is the thin decorative plate that came off, which wouldn't be such a problem other than the small hole it leaves exposed without the plate in place. Again, thanks for the advice

JB weld should also work if you can't find the goo.  I've used that on so many things before, but that just crossed my mind when I read this.

Previous owner had messed with that on mine and stuck it on with silicone, worked fine.
I took it off and filled the scratches on the cover where it had been dropped, then found a scrap of carbon mat and laid it up with epoxy in a saucer. Took it out, cut it to the right size and glued it on with epoxy and filled the join. Then masked the carbon lay-up and painted the rest of the cover black (to cover the filler). Looks different.

If you decide to go with the Goop, you don't need to find the Automotive Goop. Most of the Goop products are basically the same thing with different labels.
