stuck reg/rec harness

trying to test the reg/rec on my 06' gs500f do they put some kind of adhesive on theplugs cause they are only coming out so far tabs are fully depressed dont want to break them

If you're talking about the plastic wiring connectors, there is no adhesive. As you have already done, depress the plastic tabs and pull the two plastic halves apart. Don't pull from the wires, pull on the plastic body only.

If the halves are stuck, there is likely some corrosion on the inside connectors that is locking things in place. I suggest that you apply some WD-40, let it sit for awhile (perhaps overnight), and then try again.

Flat head screw driver...  Use it! Should separate them nicely
