That thread link seems to have been done using the same Item ... so it should do what the other one did.

There was talk about cutting and widening the stock bars to get them to work when you flip them over, but no one mentioned if its been done and how much you need to add between the tabs to widen the bars?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick

they will fit but unless you bend the grip part of the bar with a little curve in it close to the weld you will not be able to lock the steering because the bars will get into the fairings.

ok thanks

now, since i have the fairings, do i need some sort of spacers?

Well I had the crome 7/8 like the ones in the link and I had to use something to keep them from slipping around in the clamps, I chose good cork gasket material and that worked like a champ.  There are no adapters to get them on.  They will fit the way you would receive, they just aren't perfect.  I had a buddy with a pipe bender and was able to bend the bar slightly to allow the steering to lock and because in a parking lot when turning slow and tight I didn't want to loose any steering.

I have the same ones but in black. they work fine as is but if your bike has fairings you will need spacers to raise them a  little. I just got another set of top clamps and put them under the bars to raise them then got longer bolts to clamp them. and they dont hit at full lock for me they have a 1/4 to spare. I have an 04F

You may want to check these out before you buy the Ebay ones:

Looks to be a bit cheaper than the ones you gave the link to. I just ordered a set a couple days go and the total was less than the price on the site because of the 15% off deal going on at the moment.  The shipping is also free.

did you put yours on yet?

They've not came in the mail yet. I only placed the order 2 days ago.  I ordered the superbike bars though. Didn't want to be quite as agressive as the ones you were wanting. Sorry, thought I said that in the previous post, but I guess I didn't.  I saw those when I was looking for me a set and remembered them when I saw your post.
