front tire sizes

Hey everyone!! ive been reading this forum for a long time and have gotten alot of useful info but one thing im not for sure on is if my front tire will fit ok... the size is 120/80-17. I was just wondering if it will fit and was concerned about the space between the tire and the fender. thanx

I doubt it, the 110/80 is a very close fit.  Could depend on the tire, the different makes and models all vary a bit in dimensions.  What tire are you talking about?  There aren't many 120/80 fronts around, the only one I can think of offhand is the ME880 and it's about an inch bigger in dia than most 110/80 tires and wouldn't fit.

Are you sure that isn't a 120/80-17 rear tire?  There's a lot of those around.

well the tire is in fact a rear tire.....i feel like an idiot now for spending 100 bucks on a rear tire but ....anyhow its an avon roadrider or something .i just heard of other people talking about putting on a 120/80 front. it looks like tomorrow hopefully i can trade in that tire for a 110/80
