Stripped Oil parts!

So apparantly the last mechanic that worked on my bike liked to use a power wrench.  Imagine my dismay when I found that my oil plug weas stripped.  "OK," I thought to myself, "I can deal with this, tighten till it stops and all is cool."  Then I tried to change the oil filter...you gotta be kidding me, one of the screws is stripped on that too!  It may be that the lug is broken though, either way I cant get the filter out of the bike.

Anyone have this experience?  If so, how does one go about removing the cap screw?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is an '89 gs500ek, and I've just resurected this thing for the second time in a decade.

Thanks,
Icabod

EDIT!!!  So when upset about your project getting derailed, please search the forum before posting...found my answer, after relaxing away from the motorcycle.

I have a spare oil pan with good threads w/ plug. $15 + shipping. I can include the gasket for an additional $5. PM me if interested.
