I usually fill my '94 up after 100 miles or so... I think I don't actually hit the reserve until 120 or so... It also depends on how much I fill the tank. If I'm lazy and don't fill it all the way up to the filler neck then top it off another few times while the tank vents, I can go less far...

About 220 miles to reserve on my 02 in the summer, if I top it up around 240 miles it takes about 4 gal for a pretty constant 60 mpg.  Still plenty of reserve if I forget.  A little less in the winter.

My 97 got the same or a little better milage but had the smaller tank, still was good for 200 miles on a tank.

Both my GS's were left completely stock, messing with the carbs can be very expensive.  Suzuki did OK with them in spite of the EPA>
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

on my 07 i hit reserve at 150 miles, on my 89 i used to fill up at 100 because my reserve didnt work.

I haven't hit reserve yet, but apparently the newer tanks are bigger. I got about 160 miles out of 2.3 gallons riding the bike home from NH picking it up. I haven't been back to the pump since, but if I continue to get 70 MPG, I should get more than 280 before reserve. I think I'll 'ride until reserve' just to find out. I'm guessing my 'around town' mileage will be lower, but hopefully in the mid fifties at least.

BTW, it's a 05F, stock afaik.

I have never measured tank-tank, I get 60mpg on the freeways, 55mpg - city riding.

I've got an 07.  I typically go 200 to 210 miles before I hit reserve and am averaging 58 mpg.  I fill to the filler neck everytime; the tank before last I went 225 before switching to reserve.
I typically ride 65-ish or so on the freeway.   Of course, as the speed goes up, the mpg goes down - the worst I've gotten is 54 mpg out of a tank, the best so far is 62 mpg from a tank.

My '01 with exhaust, filter, and jetting gets around 60mpg, I usually hit the reserve at 220 miles or so. This is with a mixture of highway and around town. I generally fill up at 180 miles and have to put in 3 gallons or 3.2.
