Got one at the dealership this morning. Made by Western Power Sports (WPS). Model is CB10L-B2. Exact fit. Price?
$37.44 and that includes 8.5% Ascension Parish Sales Tax. I chose this over the $101.50 Yuasa (without tax) because
I don't ride very much. Will let y'all know the longevity in the year/years to follow (I hope:)).

Put it on a trickle charger. Make sure it has distilled water to top. Sitting bikes kills batteries more than riding them.
My 89 once had a battery that lasted almost 5 years. I rode the GS constantly, and over 2 year period, I shared the bettery with my 90. Great, 5 year life from a 30 buck walmart issue.
Cool.

ohgood

i've got one of those walmart batteries for a few years now. it's all about keeping water in it (distilled) and keeping a trickle charge (or riding -everyday-) to keep it alive.

mines on a charger for this weekend since we're new parents again and i won't get to ride all weekend. :(

do a search for 'headlight interrupt' here on the forum and you'll find my thread about howto do it. it helps give your starter -all- the juice the battery has to offer, and startups take 1/3 of a second instead of 3 ;)

just noticed SS already talked about water and trickles, so i'm redundant :D
