handlebar clamp bolt size

I'm going to install my new superbike bars and realized that I don't own any allen wrenchs.  So before I buy the wrong size wrench set, does anyone know what size the bolt for the handlebar clamps are?

I just installed the GP Touring bars I got on Wednesday.  Easy enough job and they came out pretty good.  Except, they didn't even look like the ones in the pictures on the web -- looked more like stock almost.  Thanks again for your understanding on our handlebar deal that wasn't.

No problem.

Here's a tip for removing the handgrips that a friend showed me.  Stick a screwdriver between the handlebar and the grip and then blow compressed air in there and work the grip around to get it off.  The compressed air will blow the rubber away from the handlebar just a little bit, allowing you to gently work it off, without having to spray any lubricant or anything  you'll have to worry about getting cleaned up later.  It worked like a champ when I did it the other day.

For installation, you can do it the same way, but from the other side.  Mine actually just slid onto the new bars without too much work though.

Anyone know the size of the thread for these bolts? I think it is 8mm std thread but I am not 100% certain. I am going to pass by the local hardware store tonight to find bolts that fit.

I love the air compressor for removing grips, I can't even count the endless hours I spent when I was younger trying to roll grips on and off, or prying them off with screwdrivers, or putting dish soap on the bars and then having to wait weeks before it all dried up and the grips would stay still. If you have one of the spray nozzles with one of the pointy tips you don't even need the screw driver.
