Well I finally got around to doing some of the cheap mods to my bike (not looking to sink alot of $$$ into a lengthy project at this time)....

Sorry for the poor quality of the pics, but it was with a Camera Phone and starting to get dark... (I know the bike needs to be washed... just didn't have time to do it and take the pics...)

I can never keep this kid away from it... he's on it everytime he and it are near each other.  :)

Now that I've looked at it several times I think I'm going to move these signals up to the top... originally I thought i liked them down on the bottom like that, but not feeling it anymore.

Those mods look vaguely familiar. :)

Very nice.  I love the black and silver.

+1 for going up top with those rear signals.

Man I really want to do flush mount front turns but I'm afraid no one will see them. How did you go about tinting the windscreen? What did you use? I was planning on doing this soon. I agree...move the rear turns up. Oh and while you're at it, trade me front upper fairings.  :icon_lol: I want black instead if silver. Nice job!

I airbrushed mine with Createx paint.  Its made to bond to lexan.  It could also be brushed on.  I backed it with Krylon clear after it dried well just for added protection.  I have had no problem with being seen but would like to hear what 06GSF has to say about his experiences.

I agree with you B Kizzle I am kinda wishing I had bought the black instead of the blue.

Since I'm planning on buying a smoke screen in the future, all I did was spray paint the back gloss black and then used a spray clear coat to cover it.

Haven't had a chance to get it on the road since I changed the lights on account of it raining today... but I turned the signals on and walked to the other side of the yard and could clearly see them blinking.  They really stand out at night believe it or not...

While I was shopping I was looking at an SV650, but feel in love with the black and silver of the GS (that and the sticker price  :) )
