I've always heard that the xyience shaZam! is exactly that.....shaZam!.  Muscletech is way overhyped, their products are decent but not up to par with others and over priced.  The GNC brand shaZam! is all pretty solid and if you want a 'name brand'  MRI is good stuff.  Muscle Asylum is a new player on the market and has some pretty good deals if you can find the value packs.

jserio

what have you heard about BSN? their products seem to be the most expensive so far of the one's i've looked at on GNC website

Wow, I missed that last post.  I don't personally know anyone that uses BSN products, nor have I ever.  I've started using a new line of supplements at the recommendation of a Personal Trainer at my gym.  I'm using Fusion Zeus, a test booster (along with St. John's Wort, because I really don't need more rage issues) and Fusion Fubar, a pre-workout supplement.  I just started today so I can't comment on the Zeus, but the Fubar had a very definite impact.  I was never twitchy like with a lot of caffeine based PW's, but I always had a little bit of 'go' in me that lasted past the 2 hour mark and my nutrition was pretty f%$ked today so I'm heavily attributing an overall excellent workout to this supplement.

I had always been a little bit into it, but I got into it seriously almost exactly a year ago, when I discovered that my workplace has a kick-ass gym.  I am definitely more muscular and toned than I've ever been.  I'm not competitive; I just like to be fit and to have enough musculature to lift heavy things when it's useful to do so.  I alternate weight days with solid cardio days (I do a little footracing and cyclocross now and then, and I like to stay in shape for that), and the results have been good.  I don't supplement my diet with any strange things; I just make sure I get enough protein (vegetarian) and keep my diet diverse.

spc

I'm a power junky.........300g+ protein a day ( mostly supplemented, not a vegetarian), not happy with a lift max if it's less than double my bodyweight kinda deal.  I've started spinning on my off days and almost gotten to where I enjoy it again :icon_rolleyes: ( I look pretty ridiculous in there, I'm double the size of most participants)  I'm not competitive and probably won't get into that aspect.

Oi.......
gotta love poser punks who think they're bad-ass because they go to the gym twice a month and drop a lot of weights..........
Damn retard nearly had a hernia trying to 'prove his manhood' on the barbell I had setup for dead lift/shrugs.

Fubar once again had an extremely level energy disbursement and is becoming a favorite pre-workout.  As far as the test booster, still not noticing anything, but most reviews say it takes about 2-3 weeks of loading before gains are seen.

nice. plus make use of the MTB while youre doin that

A cold has kept me from the gym for the last 2 days.  It seems to be subsiding, so hopefully I'll get back at it monday.  If not, I'll be reporting to the Doc Monday AM and demanding a Bicillin shot.

I train four bodybuilders in China and a couple in the States so you can ask me any questions you want about any routine. I myself am a former professional athlete and currently work as a trainer as well as a physical therapist/masseuse. My training is hectic and involves multiple routines and sports and training techniques. Basically, you train for what you want to achieve. If you want to bulk up or lose weight and trim down, there are specific diet and exercise regimens you should follow that are tailored to your individuals needs, and NOT what has worked for everyone else. All of my clients and bodybuilders do individual programs. Hope this helps.

Wow, quite a shopping list there of things.  Throw out a quick eating schedule for me and my food allergies.  Allergic to soy, dairy (minus eggs cause I won't give them up) cheese, beans in general.   I weigh about 170 5'8" by no means overweight if you looked at me.  Decent muscle tone just a little extra fat all the way around cause I hardly work out anymore.  Throw out a general bulk and cut routine or just a tone up kind of routine because I feel thats all I really need at this point.
GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

Sounds good. Whatever works for you. Sorry about your food allergies. I think a lot of herbal or chinese traditiional medicine has been shown to be effective in treating them. See if you can check that out. Good luck.

Bomb: Just try to work all the major groups evenly and do 6ish sets of 10-12 at 60-70% max each trip to the gym.  Going above 70% or so doesn't do any good if you just want to tone up.  My tone is freaking horrible, but I do 90%+ on the majority of my sets with 300g protein a day and get pretty pissed if I don't build my standard 1lb of muscle per week.  As far as supplements, Isopure is pretty popular.  It's am Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate and has no carbs and very little void filler.  I get one at the gym if I forget my mixer or run out, they come in mix form or in pre-mixed bottles that have 40g of protein each.

Days achievement:
15 reps Leg Press at 1170 and 3 at 1260  I'm pretty sure I could push 1530, but can't figure out how to get anymore plates on.  As is I have em stacked to the end of the bar and on the back of the foot plate.

...shaZam!...I thought you meant shoplifting... :dunno_white:
