Question for Buddha

or anyone else with this type of experience.

Here's what's goin' down.

Yamaha--inline 3 cylinder--outboard 90 horse--2 stroke--oil injection--3 carbs

Twice as of late, I have failed to "run" this engine under load enough. Injuries have hindered me but that is beside the point.

My "high speed" jets keep getting gummed. It would crank just fine but under load it goes to hell quickly. No "on plane", no get up and fly.

Well, I took it out 2 weeks ago after a long set (after getting it "repaired"). Once again, cranks fine. After 2 days on the Bayou it finally "opened up" a little and started running much better but nowhere near tops.

I have used stabilizer in the tank to no avail. My damn last boat/motor didn't give me this kind of trouble. Hell, I'd let it set a year with no ill effects. I guess there are varying degrees of "good stabilizer"??? Gas ain't what it used to be??

Do you think if I take it out and run the bastard all day for a couple of days wide ass open it will finally and totally open up?
Do you think an additive would help me?
Should I flood all carbs with cleaner and let that set? Where the hell are the high speed jets? Are they right behind the drain screws at the bottom of each carb?

This is costing me 260 bucks a pop plus fuel everytime I want to go "out".

One more thing, this boat/motor has only 15 hours on it. I know I know.......It was under warranty but they will not cover neglect. And I am negligent. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

revere, make sure everythign is up to spec, fresh plugs, clean carbs, etc, and GIVE IT HELL, but carry spares, or whatnot to get back to shore

2 smoke ??? damn if I know. BTW rotory disc valve or reed valve. I havhe seen the disc valve get messed up ... or even sometimes get fitted on wrong.

check your oil mixture, make sure its truely 100-1 thats what yamis 2 strokes run on.

Frank Frank Frank.................be cool..........I am getting some good input of things to checkout on my outboard. "Buddha" is a "better than great" mechanical type. I felt sure he and others on this forum might have some experience in outboards.
Take a deep breath and I have a couple of oxycodones left. Maybe we could "get on the same plane". Hopefully I'll get some more tips as I have on some of the boat forums. But you have to admit that everything from split crotch panties and automatic transmissions are discussed on the odds and ends. Forgive me if I've offended you. Everything is ok.
