i've been looking around for carb rebuild kits on the net, and i found a pretty good deal at http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/carb_kits.htm for $26 including o-rings, jets and other bits.
but when i emailed them i got no response. does anyone know anything about or had any experience with crc (cycle-re-cycle)?

OK, not stellar. Possible that like many places they have email, but respond better to phone calls.

Buy some fuel line while you are there - 5 feet of 5/16 will include enough to replace the top tee vent, otherwise 4 feet is plenty. 2 feet of 1/8 is handy for carb drain work, float height check, etc. Shipping is the same, so ordering it with other stuff saves overall.

My order seemed to sit there for a while - after a week I sent an email query about it, got no response, but noted on the package that the long delay was from it sitting there and not being shipped until after I had asked about it, rather than the mail being slow. One item ordered (Progrip 699 grips) was ordered red, printed red on the packing list, and shipped black. Given that the cost of these was about the same as the shipping cost, did not seem worth getting upset about and shipping forth and back to correct - on the other hand, I did mention them in an email and did not get any response to that email, either - much less the sort of "we'll just fix our mistake and ship you the right ones" response that a stellar merchant would have done - so, not stellar. I'm sure if I had made a fuss and been willing to invest in shipping back and forth it could have been fixed, but I wasn't that upset by black grips, so I didn't bother.

Their oil filters for the GS (at least as shipped this summer) did not include the O-ring, which some other vendors evidently do.

I'll do business with them again. They seem to be the rare place that even has 5/16 fuel line. They are OK.

I ordered shims, shim tool, and miscellaneous other junk from them. They called and let me know they didn't have all the shims I'd ordered and wanted to know if I wanted them to remove it from the order or wait until it came in. They also told me they were out of a color of an item I'd ordered and asked if I wanted to cancel or choose a different color. Took about a week to get my stuff, not real slow, definitely not fast though. The best thing they have going for them is the price of their shims and their fuel line selection.
