I just got through cleaning and replacing the jets, when I tried to start it gas was just spilling thru the two (x2 left and right) small ports located on the intake manifold where the filter is attached to.  Any thoughts on why?  Also how do I attach images here? Thanks.

^----------- hit the 'reply' button then press the picture button up there under the ITALIC "I" and it will format stuff for pictures.

either you lost / killed an o-ring or your float height is set wrong.

also possibly your float needle tip is damaged.

O ring is good and not lost, needle is perfect, float is measured accdg to what the specs are.  BTW how does it format it only shows [ img ] [ /img ] sorry kinda challenged with this attaching image issue.

hmmmm. I had the same problem, but it turned out to be a bad float height adjustment. Maybe next time you measure it, try lightly tapping on the float bowls beforehand with a hammer or something. You might get a more accurate reading. Maybe your needles were stuck when you measured the float height. Then when you got around to starting it up, they loosened up it over-flowed into the air filter. Just my theory  :dunno_white:

sorry, i meant to say images aren't "attached" so much as linked to. you upload your images to imageshack, or picasa, or photobucket, or whoever, then get the direct link to the picture, and insert that URL  (for instance http://picasa.com/someonesaccount/some-picture.jpg) inbetween the  [ img ]***********[ /img ] where the ************'s are.

hope that helps. sorry for the confusion. :)

Thank you all for the help with the image attachment, will be doing that soon, however, on to my original problem I think I found out why the spilling of the gas.  The housing where the needle valve is located has an o-ring around it and guess what it's not doing its job from keeping the gas contained.  The needle valve works perfectly per design.  So off to getting a new o-ring - anyone out there knows where to get these things besides bikebandit?  Thanks.
