Hi there wildbill,
I actually asked for the left stator cover earlier in this thread but it's apparently gone. :)
Man, why are we having so much trouble finding these parts lately? :)

I think the stator cover may have gone with the motor.
BTW Trw ... I ahve a friend with a seized motor. I can finnagle it for you ... I'll let you know what he wants for it and how good/bad it is. it was OK AFAIK, but 2 years since we swapped the motor and he put it in his storage, god knows how many times he's dropped it since then.
Cool.

Yo. Mach,
Did you look at the photos?
First, they look weather rotted and dry. They're from an old bike that was probably stored outside. Did you not look at the photos?
Second, did you not see the rusty, long scrape on one of them in the photo?
I am looking for parts in good condition.
As usual, a smart ass comment from you without any pertinent evaluation.

crap...

i have a 95 and the same color and could have used a tank.

thats what I get for not checking for 4 days in here :(

Canuk dude, That red is easily powdercoatable. I am finishing up a tank that I undented, will be coating inside and is currently waiting a powdercoat. It will come out looking like new, its almost dent free ... and will be like new when all is done and will stay that way for far longer than paint will. I am thinking I will do it on people's tanks in the near future, $50 to undent, $60 to coat and $10 off if both ... and powder $60-75 depending on their bill.

Red?  Red wasn't a color in 95 IIRC.

Oh... NOW the pics decide to work for me... the pics didnt work before and I was hoping that the tank was part of the "most  from 95" model.

nevermind...

I heard from my friend - he said he didn't drop the motor, but his engine cover is more than likely not pristene. Pegs and bars 3imo got you ... so I can try to yank this cover off tonight or tommorow night, but how bad can it look ??? If its worse than you like, I'd rather leave the poor guy's motor alone.

95 I thought had a red. It had the purple and a deep blue ... neither of which I can replicate with any consistency. That 91 red though, my virago's tank is the exact same color, as is a lot of other stuff I powdercoated over the years. maxim body pieces, a savage, atleast 1 gs tank. Many more. Black and that read are things he's hit with alarming regularity. The blue of 01 or 04 or 91 or whatever I get close with the silver under candy blue they do, but its hit or miss and you sometimes end up with a patchy look cos one color runs of top of the other and gets deep in spots and shallow in others.

And I wont ask him to match either one of them ...
So how about a nice shiny black ... one that looks like its miles deep ... gaze into it and you'll lose yourself till you get rudely awoken as you head hits the concrete cos you got so cross eyed and dizzy ... better than crack ...
Maybe flat black ... looks like black primer ... that ...
Cool.

I'm very interested in the gas tank/matching fenders. I'd take them as a whole set, to convert my bike to red ;)

What's the inside of the tank like?

Mdow
