I only skimmed the article, but as i did my thoughts were "wow, this is like those LaRouche crackpots saying a maglev train will save the world, but in reverse so to speak."

Obama has enough obvious flaws that we dont need to bother nitpicking how far left he is in order to determine whether or not he's a fit president.

No Frank. No. Those "kinds" of mean spirited words will almost NEVER be mentioned in our "media". No politician risking losing his re-election will bring them up either, much less call each other one. No..............those kinds of divisive, hurtful, 1950ish "buzzwords" will
not be mentioned in today's world. The closest I've seen used is "socialism". And yes........Obama AND Hillary AND Bill are Socialists but they want to retain their elitism and give YOUR/OUR money away. I would LOVE for "the news" to bring it up.........but they won't....
for it could open a can of worms for ALL of them. McCain ain't much better but at least the Repubs haven't come after our firearms...

What do you mean haven't come after our firearms yet? How about the firearms owners protection act Reagan signed into law in 1986. It did lots of good but it compromised on the Hughes ammendament and instead of vetoing it the Reagen assented to it.

The Hughes ammendmant to the FOPA was snuck in in the middle of the night.

It did a lot of good, but allowing it to stand as presented was bad form on Reagans part, one of the few things he did that I disagree with.

Saying police can have something civillians can't, whether or not it is necessary is a step towards facism.

A new one was authored in 2007, and did not pass. The most recent one was authored June of this year by Mark Kirk from Illinois.

These things have a direct impact on me since I am preparing to get my FFL types 1, 2, 7 and 10 and a clas 2 and 3 SOT tax permit. I am looking at going into business as a dealer/manufacturer and pawn shop, a friend of mine and I are drafting the business proposal the owner of the property where my friend has a bar is looking at putting iin a strip center and if we can provide a successful business plan the building will get built for us.

Both the 2007 and 2008 bills would have createda permanent assualt wepons ban with no sunset provision.

McCain is weak enough that he would sign one of these into effect and remember we now have a democratic majority in the house and senate and I don't expect that to change in November.
