Went for a nice ride on Sunday - see map. We started on the Northern Beaches of Sydney at the top of Powderworks Road at Terry Hills. We made our way along Mona Vale Road to Lane Cove Road and along the Comanarra Parkway to Pennant Hills Road. Through a bit of suburbia and then into the rural area. We made our way along Pitt Town Road and ended up at Windsor after a couple of wrong turns. We turned right at Windsor and had a coffee at Wiberforce along the way. Next on to the Sackville Ferry Road and you guessed it across the Sackville Ferry! This is a small car ferry across the Hawksbury River. We joined up with Wisemans Ferry Road then Old Northen Road then through Galston Gorge and home. All the roads were pretty good, mostly 80km/h - nice curves and pretty flat. Saw lots of other bikes not too many cars. We were my 03 GS a BMW F800ST and a Sachs 150. A bit cold but great fun. :)

That looks pretty sweet!  What was your mileage for the day?  ...or should I say kilometerage...

Don't know what the distance travelled was. I'll work it out.
We went for another good ride a couple of weekends ago to the Royal National Park down South, 220km round trip. It was baking hot on the way down, around 34 degrees C and then a southerly change came through and the temperature dropped 10 degrees in a couple of minutes. We had the best hamburgers ever at the Otford Pie Shop (doesn't seem to have a big range of pies!) and then a much cooler ride home. Friend's bike (actually a scooter, but he's a good friend so we let him ride with us ) broke down on the way back so we had to shuffle riders and pillions for the rest of the trip. It's a good ride down there, but better earlier in the day. There were too many slow cars and cyclists to make it fun. It's always good checking out the other bikes at Stanwell Tops though.

I'll go and work out the Ks for the other trip and yes the Putty road is good but we didn't have tthe time on that day. There's always another weekend!

OK so the first ride was about 145km round trip or 90 miles. Not that long really, but good fun.  :)
