What can I say?  We like to buy our friends...it's just a shame we've been trying to buy the wrong ones.  We should have let the tsunami take it's toll.  We should have let Korea build nuclear weapons.  Who else have we handed money to hand over fist?  I can't remember now, but I can't think of any that were good ideas.

all over the planet each and every year, hand over fist. Even to countries that HATE OUR GUTS. Even to dictators that torture and keep food that we send and leave it to rot while their citizens are stacked up dead like cordwood. We even let countries pay just interests on loans and when they can't do even that, we forgive the entire debt and then give them another atrocious mind boggling loan. One Congressman when asked said, you don't understand. You need to put out money to "make money". I guess I don't understand.
If we ran our checkbooks and lives like our Representatives run the United States, we'd be put in prison for certain.

I believe nearly fifty cents of every tax dollar goes to pay for defense and the interest on our debt. Truly frightening.

nah screw defense...we'll focus on being scholars.  It'll come in handy when They come and capture us.  Educated, we'll make great pets.

One of their targets err one of their threats were the educated. they saw them as a threat. IIRC it was post us viet-nam
