They are impressive with the effort and money no doubt they invest in these projects. I must say however, i disagree with installing this in vehicles. You cant keep molly coddling drivers and sympathising with them by saying motorcycles are hard to see etc etc...heres a nice little system we can put in for you which means you don't even have to look for them, it will bleep if your about to drive infront of them or someone else. People should learn to drive rather than relying on other people to look after/avoid them.

The whole thing with the car is people feel totaly safe in the car and thus the natural self preservation instinct deteriorates and they stop looking out the fricking window, they talk on their phones and do their makeup and then shaZam! happens. Stick this in a car and they have almost no reason to worry at a junction because someone will avoid them or the computer will tell them they need to avoid something, also what happens when they meet a car without it installed, and what happens when they jump into a car without it installed.

Its very clever, but all its doing is making people FEEL even safer which isn't good.

The system will be good when were all in the future like Minority Report where cars drive themselves from A to B COMPLETELY on their own. For now its not going to work and there will be more of "oh i didn't see him there" - because you wern't f'in looking even half a glance now.

Exactly.

What we need is a 2' stake under the seat.  If they do something the car thinks is stupid, the stake gets driven up their ass.   :thumb:

BTW:  Yesterday, I watched the neighbor kid try to park her car while talking on her cell.  You're supposed to park on the street, halfway up the grassy hill by the street.

I agree ...
There was an idiot today that pulled in ahead of me doing 3 mph, 10 feet in front, and I am running 45 with the speedlimit being 45 on that part of the road, and ... after pulling out in front ... he slowed as he tried to make it across the shoulder and into a parking lot ... across the dirt, not at the driveway ... blind moron. I was in a car ... my nissan and it has better braked than my truck may have ... with my truck I'd almost definetly have plowed into him ....
Cool.
