Well if you found a headlight set up you like it could be used on the kat front end also.

It is probably cheaper to rebuild your front end, but kat FEs aren't very pricy and buddha can modify the trees and top plate to fit your GS and hold your stock gagues.  I'm rebuilding my front end for now until I can find/afford a USD front end for my bike.

Springs and oil will make the forks work a lot better. I remember seeing a thread on fixing the m/c sightglass. If you could fix it then you could grind off the broken mirror mounting boss, fill any holes or low spots, repaint and go with bar end mirrors. I would put the rubber molding back on the bottom of the tank. Are you talking about those gaps between the seat and bodywork? Redoing the seat to fit sounds like the best, fix but it could be made less obvious by painting the vertical lip of the bodywork (normally hidden by the seat) flat or satin black. You could probably do the same at the back of the seat.

Didn't know there was molding around the tank.  Crap.   :bs:   I'll just make my own.
I'll look into the dual headlight.
It's not the suspension that I'm concerned with, since I weigh about as much as a Chinese gymnast.  I've just got FE-bling envy.

And, I see what you're saying about down-playing the gap in the bodywork with paint.  What's the actual problem with it, though?  Is it the wrong bodywork for that year, the wrong seat?  I can't figure it out.  The PO said the bodywork had been changed because it had been dropped, but swore he didn't know any specifics.  The bodywork fits like crap.  Only a single bolt on each side lines up, so it must be the bodywork from a different year.
Has anybody else had this problem?  Pretty stupid.   :icon_confused:

What do you guys do about gas dripping from the nozzle at the fill-up station?  Has anybody tried like a clear acetone sticker or some other laminate over the clearcoat?  I've painted my Jeep twice, and this thing three times.  I'm tired of painting.

And, yes I've been living on the internet today.   :icon_rolleyes:
I'm putting off studying for a big organic chemistry exam.  I'm tired of this arcane crap with all the chaotic rules and exceptions everywhere.  I swear to God, I'm gonna throw my guinea pig if I open that book.  It has no bearing on my career path whatsoever, and only serves to slow me down and fill my places in my mind that could otherwise be occupied by anatomy and physiology.  I'm sure that I'll fondly remember these days in this wonderful class when I'm sewing somebody's abdomen back together.  "Oh, how wonderful it is that I can use my experiences with stereoisomers to reattach your finger!"
Doctors in England and Australia don't even have to go through undergrad.  But, I've got to sit through four years of bullsh!t, listening to professors that couldn't hack it in the real world.  By the time I'm finished with residency, I'll be 34 friggin years old.  And, all I can see right now is a huge-@ss organic chemistry book on my desk.
Anybody need a pissed off, little drinking buddy?

I know what you mean, but at least you know what you wanted to do while you are in college!  I gratuated with a BS in Business Admin and couldn't hate what I do any more!  That is why I am going back for an engineering degree this year.

Maybe you misunderstand.  I'm not a kid, I'm 27.  I went into the Army to afford college, and now I've got to sit through 4 more years of bullsh!t to get where I want to go.  Another school!  Then, years of residency, blah blah blah.  But, yes, I know what I want to do.  The hard part is getting there.  Especially when there's an arcane torture system in place to wring the crap out of you, to get rid of the bad eggs.  I've got a 3.75 GPA, and full honors, and I still feel like a complete loser because of the way the dang system is devised.  If you develop any sort of life whatsoever outside of school, then it's severely frowned upon.  Yet, if all your time is spent studying, then you're dismissed as socially-underdeveloped.

You're gonna LOOOOOOVE going back to school.  :icon_lol:  Just wait.... hundreds of idiot kids running their mouths, with Daddy paying their tuition.  Now, just imagine you're a 130 lb red-haired guy, who happens to be a disgruntled combat veteran.  Further imagine that your family is half-retarded, and you have a guinea pig (Marcy) for a best friend.

God, I can't wait until surgical rotation.  Somebody's getting sliced!

I had no idea how old you were.  Hang in there, all will work out.  Where are you located?  I'll come have a drink with you!  I'm sure I'll need it once I am back in school at 29 years old!

Ok, back to motorcycle talk!

What do you guys think about these?

Anybody used them before?  Doesn't look like they'll offer much in the anti-vibration department.
