Valve shims 29mm? or 29.5mm?

I went to the shop to pick up a valve shim.
When I checked the dimensions at home, I find that it is a 29mm in diameter, rather than 29.5.

This is not a Suzuki shim I assume?
Can it be used as a reference shim when calculating proper valve clearance (like Kerry's 2.3mm)?
Or is it totally useless?

Thanks for the assistance,

It may be Suzuki, but from a different model. As you already know, you should not use this smaller diameter shim in the GS500.

Per Jared/Kerry (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=38827.msg436387#msg436387), you can use it as a reference shim. The smaller diameter will make the shim easier to get in/out.

29mm is yamaha and I think kawi.

That is so cool GSJack thanks ... I have a handful of yama shims ...
