WTB : Stock exhaust, no can 04+ cheap for testing purposes

Im looking for an exhaust for my 07 gs500f, I plan on keeping the same runners and hacking the collector and cleaning up the transition then going to a larger pipe, this way I can try to improve the flow and make the switch to an after market can easily. (more options). There will be a full writeup and pictures when done. This is to see if we can improve our exhausts (the weak point of the 500) cheaply and with better results, than just changing the can, "not much better flow but better sound".  If ya get my drift. I just dont want to hack up my stocker with bad results beings how I use it as a commuter to work. Thanks in advance.

Woweeee ... you do know that that is going to be 100% worthless dont you ...
Why ...
See that massive 90 degree bend out of the head ... and see that the header pipe is right about ... say dime sized ... yea ...
Besides, opening it up there aint gonna do squat ... the restriction is in the head. That 1 exhaust valve 33mm dia, is only capable of flowing barely enough to fill the dime sized pipe ...
You're gonna need a flowed head with 2 exhaust valves ... AKA a GSXR head ... to get any real improvement ...
Even better is to get a head that has a serious downward tilt so the header pipes are not bent 90 degrees right at the inlet ... AKA ... down draft.

Anyway, you were trying to buy an exhaust pipe ... I have one off mm75658's bike 06, not with the can cut off though ... make me a $ ... I will chop the can off at the end of the flare ... you have to get the flare off with a dremel tool and shave it ...

Now if I haven't effectively discouraged you with my theories about exhaust gas flow, here is a new one ...
Someone asked me for the can intact ... In a way, that time consuming way to cut the can is better ... I am going to have a header that I should really use for making my exhaust cans ... whenever it starts taking flight ... if ever.
BTW dohabee dude, you want a 07 style can or you need 89-00 ...
I could do it the painful way and send you the can ... and stiff this chanse dude ... :icon_twisted:. or send him the header too ...  :icon_lol:
