I don't know what you've got on your mind? Pegs are almost the same place as in stock GS  :dunno_white:

I'am modding my GS ( http://forum.gs-500.de/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=33270) and i want to ask you how you solved problem with clutch pusher, if you have had any problem at all, because with your offset sprocket this problem may not exist, I'am gonna have more offset and I need to solve that pusher prob. I've got some ideas but I'am curious what do you think about that?

can you take a picture from your offset and 1 picture direkt from behind? thanxxx

CZOKO

Jim I will put the fotos that you've asked me a bit later (x mas time  :thumb: I'am quite bussy), but I know why are you asking for them  ;)  It was fu.....g hard but both weels are perfectly in one line, I've measured it few times and all geometry too. It was worth it. My dream bike is nearly finished and I'am goona ride it a bit.

That is some awesome work you've done there!  I visited Warsaw last year for work and the first motorcycle I saw was a GS500E...something so familiar so far from home  :)
What you've done is true customization - I wish I had the skill and imagination to do work at that level  :thumb:

Speaking of imagination:

It could have been the magnetic field that screwed it up. You know when you look at the fast moving wheel and when it gets to a certain speed the spokes appear to shift between rotating one way then rotating the opposite way as the speed increases. Thats whats known as cyclic magnetic force, similar to what happenes in an altenator, the fast movment of the spokes in a single direction creates friction against the air which is also turbulant due to proximity to the hub, this creates static and thus a magnetic force, looking through that magnetic force is what gives you the "wheel turning backwards" look. It could be that the magnetic force turning opposite direction to the direction of travel is canceling out some of what the bike computer magnet reads on every rotation.
How long did it take you to make that up?  I can maybe see the turbulence creating a static charge (maybe) but you need current for a magnetic field...static implies an abundance of electrons in one place, not moving current.  I don't mean to just call  :bs: but if you have documentation for this I'm interested in learning more about where you got this information.

Sorry for derailing the thread  :icon_confused:

Sorry mate but it wasn't me who writes this "theory"  :D I never thought about it :dunno_white:. You need to ask Kasumi :thumb:

Umm, you guys are smoking something real good

The "wheel turning forward/backward" effect occurs due to stroboscopic effect. If you are riding under artificial lighting (typically 60Hz) or watching a movie (24-30Hz) wheels on cars and bikes will appear to be turning at a different speed than they are in reality. This is because you are not seeing a continuous signal, you are seeing "frames" that are updated every so often. Those sodium lights are actually turning on and off 60 times a second ;) This effect does NOT occur under natural light.
