Lets see how many Star Trek fans we have here.  Any of the ST series count.

I watch it just to point out the anamolies and make fun of all the other in consistencies to my wife...same case with alias(and the earlier La femme  Nikita) ...Have you noticed how every episode of alias seems to have the same description when you see its listing on tvlistings.com...you know stuff like that. Gotta watch it to make fun of it and believe me I take that very seriously...
Cool.

I used to watch it.  Haven't in years though.  Is this a new series?  And if so which prior series is it most like?

Its set about a hundred years before the old original Star Trek and predates the founding of the Federation. I like it. One of the things that always annoyed me about the new Gen and all its spin offs is that everything always worked and the Humans are always top dog and the stories were all utopian and the conflicts were black and white, good guy vs bad guy.
"Enterprise" is the exact opposite.  Humanity is a fledgling space fairing race, their ships aren't be baddest around, things break down, and the Enterprise gets its butt kicked on a regular basis. Each race/faction has its own agenda and aren't "The Bad Guys", not even the Klingons. It's much more "gritty" and "realistic" as much as any ST could be.

very cool, you should check it out.  :thumb:

New 2 years ago.  Enterprise is on UPN (ch 38).  Its Better than Voyager not as good as DS9.  The only ST I really liked was DS9 -it sucked me in and held on to me till the seried ended.  Enterprise I watch and its OK but maybe season 3 will break out and it will get better.

Hmmmm... what was the one before Voyager?  The one with John Luke Piccard?  God- I had the flu one day years ago and I watched several episodes of it in a row.  I had reallllly bad nightmare-ish dreams about ST that night.   Eeeek.   Bad combo there!

But I enjoyed watching them!  LOL!

That was Star Trek The Next Generation a sequel of sorts to the first Star Trek.

Enterprise is the latest Star Trek to come out Voyager was before it and DS9 was before that if I remember right. No I am not a trekkie but I watch it on occasion.

I have complete listing of all active cruisers, destroyers and tugs in the Federation for the orginal Star Trek, I also have schematics for each of the above classes. I even bought the turn-based, hexagon map boardgame 'StarTrek Battles'.

And, I LIKE BANANAS!!

If it doesn't have "Two Wheel..something" in the title, doesn't involve the chance of seeing some ass eat fermented squid guts, Triumph the Insult Comic dog interviewing anyone or someone doesn't say "He shoots! He scores!" I don't bother.

Parochial, maybe.

I stood in front of the TV for the last half of Training Day. That is entertainment.

Yep, that's it, it's been awhile since I've pulled it out from under the D&D maunals, Ogre & G.E.V., and CarWars games...

Voyager was the show IMHO...DS-9 wasn't fluid enough for my liking, STNG (my wife's term for Star Trek Next generation) was soooo predictable and tacky as hell... the usual introduce a new guy and kill him off was getting tiring...Voyager was just the right mix of things going their way and things going awry for my liking...and the constant Borg dropping in was fun.

The original concept of Voyager was cool and for the first season it was ok, but then the writing got cheezy and repeditive. I tuned out, and still don't even know how they got home (didn't know they HAD until I saw a cameo of "Janeway" in ST:Nemises).

Scratch - In a former life I used to own a hobby store and was a big BatteTech player. Had most of the stuff, hundreds of minis and even contributed some.  But alas, BT got kiled by video and card games and, I ebayed almost all of it to feed my racing addiction.

Ironic thing is, there are NOW some guys in my Nat. Guard unit who play BT, and "Turkina" even has a pic of a 'Mech as his avatar. So I've been itching to play again...
