Has no one went to a bonfire over the weekend? Ok maybe then just pour some gas by the GS and light it (please have a fire extinguisher on standby and dial 91).

Yup, had the campfire with the kids...but no bike...family trip in the truck...I should light the firepit in the back yard and bring the bike around...if this is still here on Thursday, I will do that...out of town for the next couple of days...

Later.

Nah, just slows down when a challenge is issues that requires the additional input of people. Existing fixed objects of some description are easier than moving objects or objects that need to be created first (like fire). It always comes good but.  :thumb:

I don't think it's dying it's just hard not to repeat challenges and therefore you guys are having to come up with increasingly abstract and harder to find challenges. Which is still fun, I been following this thread and waiting for a challenge I can jump in on :)

Ok a large torch will now suffice! Haha.

My daughter had swim meet this weekend that I ended up spending the whole weekend at...any other weekend and I would have been able to get the shot near the campfire...and I'm out of town all week again...

Hopefully someone can get this...otherwise I will make a point of lighting the fire in the backyard and getting it on Friday when I get home...

Later.

I have an idea for a new game. Turn it into a relay.

Basically the rules are this: You take a picture of your bike at a location and then go for a ride somewhere. Once you arrived at whatever destination you've chosen you take another picture of your bike and then upload both to the forums. The next person to come along takes a picture of their bike at the last destination of the previous submitter (try and replicate/out-do the photo somewhat) and then they go on their own ride and take a photo at their new destination. This way the game/challenge would hop and skip all over the country getting everyone involved.

Now since I expect we wouldn't have the numbers to span the continent in a single relay (challenge accepted?) the relays would have to be fairly regional. A north east relay, a south west relay etc etc (city relays maybe?). This would allow multiple groups of people to get involved and bring some people together.

Anyway, just an idea.

I think it is a good idea, but no thread jacking...start a new thread for it and see how it goes...

I went for a ride tonight and thought I could find a flare stack burning, but no luck tonight...only the igniter flame was burning, so I didn't bother taking the pic...

Mad: try posting a pic of your bike with the Sun that you just took. I cannot think of a bigger fire than the Sun. Might be accepted by the challenger.

@Jacob_ns dude, we have enough trouble completing challenges as it is without adding more complicated things. But as Mad said, feel free to start a new thread but don't use this one to try to launch your idea.

Didn't mean to ruffle the feathers of the locals. People were complaining the thread had died and I had a relevant idea to share.

I done did it. I had to drive 25 miles to get it, but it was fun :D

This is Dockweiler beach, right beside LAX. Their are probably 15 - 20 bonfires every night.

Next, your bike next to a movie theater, ideally an old school one, like this...

does it have to be playing TPOTC because... thats gunna be hard...
2004 GS500F (Sold)
2001 GS500 (being torn apart)
1992 GS500E (being rebuilt)

shawn

Hehehe, nope. That was just the first pic of the theater around here that I could find on the internets ;)

New to the game, but have read a bunch of the post and have seen most of the pictures. I have a 2008 GS500F (blue and white). And as soon as I can find the electrical short in my bike (sometime this week), I will be joining the game.

Twism86

Congrats Shawn! I knew someone would get it. Hmm there may be some old school theaters by me, there are all around if you look (the point of the game  ;))

Mister, the sun would have been a great loop hole, I wish someone did that. Totally counts as a big fire!
