Its weak but this was the only house with many lights at all I could find tonight.  I doubt it can be seen from Mars but maybe the moon. I'll wait on confirmation this is good enough to put a new challenge up.

We've got one near us that lights up the whole street. Every year they win the xmas light contest, every year they add more lights. I'll put a pic up when I get home.

Addy, is this more like what you're looking for? Took these on a Christmas Lights Run last year where we ride around town looking at lights, while decorating our own bikes with battery powered lights as well. Anyway...

I'm not sure if it's regional or not but around here we have people ringing bells in front of major stores collecting money for the salvation army.

I went to get the one I'd shown and the bastards don't have it up this year.

Earlier today I found another one but they didn't have their lights on yet. So, go home, wait an hour or so then go back out. Oh, better check here first. Oh look, Kms254 has now got it. Well done.

Salvos don't hang out front of stores over here. But they are what we do the Toy Run in aid of...





I'm the helmet to the left of the blue/white flag just above the green sleeve.

The salvos provide breakfast for us all, for free! So if the challenge has not been done by Sunday 11 (our next toy run) I'll get a pic of them cooking breakky with the bikes.

That was 2009's event. 750 bikes. Only down side was... the route was 20km long and it took a tad over an hour to do it. That's how slow the bike cops were riding. They were crawling and there were LOTS of complaints. Bikes were pulling up to cool down, some even left the ride cause of it.

The 2010 even had clouds that looked like rain and only 350 bikes turned up (only). The pace was much better, near 40km so the distance only took half that time and it was more enjoyable. And the kids that come out to see and wave at Santa and the bikes. Some people set up lawn chairs on the footpath to watch us go by. Brings a smile to your face seeing the joy of the kids.

Got it. Once the toy run is finished I'll upload the pics. One organiser told me they are looking for someone to get Shot on a certain street where we will be 4 abreast.

Ok... here is a couple of panoramas of the toy run - start and end. This is a ToyRun for the Salvation Army.

The pics of my bike (Honda 919 with top box) show a tent in the background - this is the salvo food tent, then a photo of the tent looking back to the bikes, as they were some three hours before the ride departure time. I was told the 4 abreast photo would be taken and when I get a copy I'll post that up...









Yeah, I know it is not a salvo guy dressed as Santa standing in front of a store ringing a bell. But it is a Salvo Fund Raiser.
