What would constitute a main street diner? Australia doesn't really have diners......
...

VerdonD952

main street diners are becoming rare this day in age.  have to ride over to some old man community.
Peace out girl scout,

I have a Main Street Cafe, or a small diner called "River City Grill" right on our small main street.

If either of those work i can get this one on lunch!

Small picture, the green building is Henry's Diner.

This used to be Sadie Katz, an awesome diner but now it's more mexican I think?

Boom. I'll calmly take a w there  :icon_mrgreen: One of these outta do it!

Next challenge? Lemme check the list, I'll post one in a moment...

Ok, your bike next to a % grade sign, greater than 5 %.

Here in Newfoundland, we're made of hills! :D

The only problem is, there's no signage here saying 5% grade or whatever, just "Blind hill" or "Trucks to Break Now".

I think we have too many hills for them to put a sign on them all  :icon_twisted:

Hmmmmmm may knock this one out there are a few round my area will just see.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Sorry to be the "nerdy newcomer", but I've seen a couple references to a master list of some kind ... where can I find that?

Hey Kerry,

See the two links in my sig line. I've had to create a 2nd list because the 1st one has exceeded the amount of stuff allowed in a single post.

There are plenty around here, but my bike is out of commission. Too bad, as I wouldn't mind a ride up there this weekend.  Supposed to be a hot one.
My ride:
2009 GS500F stock....for now.

I only had to ride ~240 miles for this one!  (Trip report to come later.)

I haven't had time to fully digest the master list yet, so please tell me if this has already been done:

Take a picture of your bike with the wheels straddling a deep-ish "void"
of some kind.  Not just a pair of 2x4s, but something like a serious crack
in the ground, or maybe a manhole (with cover removed)?  The idea is to
do some problem solving as part of the challenge.  (For example, you should
remove the actual manhole cover BEFORE the bike is moved into position.)

Just in case this one is too hard, I'll be trying to absorb the master list ... or to come up with something else and check it against the list.

:o Way too much effort required for this one...in finding an appropriate "void" that I will be able to get my bike out of later. Looks like I'll be waiting for the next challenge...and hoping the weather clears up in the meantime!  :thumb:

Kerry, to help Search the list, bring it up then hit the F3 key on your computer to bring up a small popup search box. Type a word into the popup search box to search the page for that term.

Thanks Mr. Mike!  I had already copied/pasted both posts into a single text file so I could search it, but I know that you'll do a better job of keeping the list updated than I will.  :thumb:

OK, how about this one?

Take a picture of your bike next to a tetherball pole.

Is this too culture-specific?  Anyone out there not know what tetherball is?
